We are proud to release our first Counter Balance Belts! The Rising sun belt buckle has a silver base with a wood inlay. The silver sun sprays finished wood that produces a shiny effect. We recieved a custom made, Counter Balance beer pong table for Christian’s birthday. The table was handcrafted with built in cup holes and Counter Balance mural in the center. The table folds up to a carrying case that can take this table to any party! The best feature has to be the custom made ping pong balls. They come in 2 styles for both sides, a Counter Balance logo and the new CB mascot. Maybe we’ll take this thing around for some sponsored tournaments? Stay tuned!

As we began brainstorming it became evident that Hieroglyphics crew and loyal fans hold down not only Oakland, but the bay area, and around the world. Famous street artist Banksy has apparently been busy in San Francisco with new pieces popping up around the city. We are huge fans of his stencil art and the Counter Balances of his imagery. The Native American sitting with the, “No Trespassing” sign is one of the best pieces of art we have seen from him. This is something we would love to see on a shirt! Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal

Yesterday we heard about the passing of Guru from Gangstarr on April 19th. I remember the first Gangstarr song I had ever heard when I was introduced to hip hop was, “Check the Technique.” I was blown away by the production from DJ Premier and his style of making beats. When Guru came in I was instantly a Gangstarr fan, hungry for every album they had dropped and eager for new releases. Guru continued his career with Gangstarr dropping 8 total releases. His solo career saw the release of the Jazzmatazz series along with many other projects. He was a huge influence on hip hop and his contribution to the movement will not be forgotten. I wanted to give something back and show my respect for such an inspiration to my work and someone who has given me the gift of music, by creating a design to honor some of Gurus legacy. R.I.P. Keith Elam, July 17, 1966–April 19, 2010.
