Famous street artist Banksy has apparently been busy in San Francisco with new pieces popping up around the city. We are huge fans of his stencil art and the Counter Balances of his imagery. The Native American sitting with the, “No Trespassing” sign is one of the best pieces of art we have seen from him. This is something we would love to see on a shirt! Check out his website and see some of his past work.

Yesterday we heard about the passing of Guru from Gangstarr on April 19th. I remember the first Gangstarr song I had ever heard when I was introduced to hip hop was, “Check the Technique.” I was blown away by the production from DJ Premier and his style of making beats. When Guru came in I was instantly a Gangstarr fan, hungry for every album they had dropped and eager for new releases. Guru continued his career with Gangstarr dropping 8 total releases. His solo career saw the release of the Jazzmatazz series along with many other projects. He was a huge influence on hip hop and his contribution to the movement will not be forgotten. I wanted to give something back and show my respect for such an inspiration to my work and someone who has given me the gift of music, by creating a design to honor some of Gurus legacy. R.I.P.
